What is the difference between shared, dedicated and managed warehousing?
In shared warehousing, the 3PL holds the lease and serves several brands, each in its own zone. In dedicated warehousing, it holds the lease and runs the site for one brand. In managed warehousing, the brand holds the building and the 3PL runs it. Prozo offers all three, plus a 4PL partner network, across 50+ warehouses in India.
Answer & related readingIs pay-per-use pricing the same as shared warehousing?
No. Pay-per-use is a commercial model; shared warehousing is an operating model. Pay-per-use bills per unit, pallet or shipment, while cost-plus passes cost through plus a fee. Prozo offers both commercial models on shared, dedicated, managed and 4PL warehousing.
Answer & related readingWhat should a brand compare beyond the forward shipping rate?
Compare destination coverage, weight rules, return charges, COD terms, non-delivery handling and support, on your own shipment mix. The cheapest forward rate often loses once RTO and disputes are counted. ProShip by Prozo connects you to 30+ courier partners and allocates each order on all of these terms.
Answer & related readingHow are NDR and RTO different?
A non-delivery report (NDR) records a failed delivery attempt that needs action. Return to origin (RTO) means the parcel is sent back to the warehouse. An NDR becomes an RTO only if no one fixes the problem. Prozo flags every NDR within minutes, contacts the buyer and makes 3 delivery attempts before any RTO.
Answer & related readingWhen should a business compare PTL and FTL freight?
Compare part truck load (PTL) and full truck load (FTL) on shipment volume, route, handling and receiving constraints. PTL shares a vehicle with other loads; FTL reserves the whole vehicle. Prozo offers both, with PTL reaching 23,600+ pincodes, on the same contract as its warehousing.
Answer & related readingWhat is needed for an appointment-based B2B delivery?
Confirm the purchase order, receiving location, appointment window, shipment readiness and documents before dispatch. Agree who handles rescheduling, delays and receiving discrepancies, and keep delivery evidence against the order. Prozo books and runs appointment deliveries into platform warehouses, marketplaces and modern trade.
Answer & related readingWhat does Prozo do in a quick-commerce supply chain?
Prozo holds a brand’s quick-commerce stock in its warehouses and delivers it into platform warehouses and dark stores by appointment, from the same stock pool as its other channels. Prozo does not run dark stores itself. The platform owns the consumer delivery promise.
Answer & related readingWhat should be checked before a quick-commerce dispatch?
Validate the purchase order lines, eligible stock, batch and shelf-life rules, labels, documents and the receiving appointment. Align warehouse completion with transport readiness and name an owner for any exception before the load leaves. Prozo runs the pick, manifest and handover on one record.
Answer & related readingHow do a WMS and an OMS work together?
An order management system (OMS) takes orders from every channel and sends fulfilment instructions to the warehouse. A warehouse management system (WMS) runs receipt, storage, picking and dispatch, and sends stock and fulfilment events back. At Prozo, ProOMS and ProWMS share one order record across warehousing and freight.
Answer & related readingWhat should a supply chain control tower help a team do?
It should show every order and handover against its committed service level, put exceptions first, and give each escalation a named owner. Prozo’s Control Tower runs 17 modules in production across service levels, scale and governance, and cost, and each client gets its own login.
Answer & related readingCan one inventory pool serve multiple sales channels?
Yes, when the order and warehouse systems support channel-wise allocation, stock visibility and fulfilment rules. Packaging, shelf-life and receiving rules still differ by channel. Prozo serves webstore, marketplace, quick commerce and trade orders from one stock pool.
Answer & related readingWhat information helps scope an omnichannel operation?
Share your SKU list, handling needs, channel mix, demand locations, order volumes, current systems and service expectations, including returns and value-added work. Prozo’s real estate, warehouse design and solution design teams use this to design the site, layout and freight network before quoting a rate.

Answer & related readingHow long does it take to move my warehousing to Prozo?
Most brands go live with Prozo’s warehousing in about 4 weeks. Onboarding runs through discovery, solution design, technology integration, warehouse setup and a pilot go-live. The exact time depends on your number of SKUs, sales channels and current systems.
Answer & related readingWho handles my return orders?
Prozo runs returns in 4 steps on the same sites and system as forward orders. Pickup is raised in ProShip; the return is scanned and graded at the pack station against your grading rule; it goes back to stock, refurbishment, liquidation or scrap on your rule; and the stock and credit update on your dashboard.
Answer & related readingCan my warehouse handle labelling and barcoding for marketplaces?
Yes. ProWMS by Prozo prints the right label for each channel, including Amazon FNSKU, Flipkart and modern trade labels. Products without barcodes get one at inbound. Every handling step is scan verified, so a wrong label is caught before the parcel leaves.
Answer & related readingHow do I know my stock is safe in the warehouse?
Prozo runs one safety, security and loss prevention protocol at every warehouse, with 5 layers: gate and seal records, camera coverage, scan-verified handling with role-based access, fire safety, and insurance for fire, burglary, stock and transit. Its Command Centre reviews 5 zones on live video at every warehouse, every day.
Answer & related readingCan I rent extra warehouse space only for my peak season?
Yes. With Prozo’s on-demand warehousing, you add space, staff and packing stations only for peaks like Diwali or sale events. Extra capacity is usually ready in 5 to 10 business days, and you pay only for what you use, with no minimum term and no exit fees.
Answer & related readingCan Prozo’s warehouses make combo packs and gift sets?
Yes. Prozo’s warehouses have stations for kitting and other value-added services, such as combo packs, gift wrapping, bundling, MRP stickers and garment ironing. Every finished pack gets its own barcode and goes back into stock, ready to sell on any channel.
Answer & related readingHow quickly can I start shipping with Prozo?
If you sell on Shopify, you can start shipping with ProShip by Prozo in 1 to 2 business days. You connect your store from the ProShip dashboard, run a short test and go live, with no custom development. Other platforms connect through Prozo’s integrations and take longer.
Answer & related readingHow many pincodes does Prozo deliver to?
Prozo reaches 25,900+ pincodes for D2C surface parcels, 24,000+ for D2C air and 23,600+ for part truck load. Same-day and next-day delivery covers 8,800+ pincodes, straight from the Prozo warehouse nearest the customer.
Answer & related readingWhich courier partner is best for my ecommerce business?
No single courier is best everywhere; performance changes by pincode, weight and payment type. ProShip by Prozo connects you to 30+ courier partners, and its AI-PACE engine reads 85+ signals per order to pick the courier most likely to deliver first time, on time and at the right price.
Answer & related readingHow can I offer same-day or next-day delivery to my customers?
Keep stock close to your customers and control the cut-off. Prozo offers same-day and next-day delivery on 8,800+ pincodes from the warehouse that holds your stock. Because Prozo runs both the warehouse and the courier pickup, it can run 2 or 3 pick waves a day, so an afternoon order still leaves the same evening.
Answer & related readingHow do I ship heavy or bulky products across India?
Heavy and bulky items need carriers set up for them. ProShip by Prozo routes these parcels to suitable courier partners by size and weight, and larger B2B loads move by part truck load to 23,600+ pincodes or by full truck load, on the same contract.
Answer & related readingHow fast will I get my COD money with Prozo?
With ProShip by Prozo, you can get COD money as fast as D+1, the next business day after delivery, or choose D+2 or a standard cycle of fixed payouts. Every COD payment is matched to its shipment, and COD ageing is one of the service level metrics Prozo tracks.
Answer & related readingHow are weight disputes resolved?
ProShip by Prozo runs an automated weight audit. It compares declared and actual weight, collects photo evidence and raises the dispute with the courier, with a clear audit trail for every case, so billing stays accurate.
Answer & related readingHow can I reduce RTO on my orders?
Catch bad orders before dispatch and act fast when a delivery fails. Prozo scores every D2C address before dispatch, avoids risky couriers for COD orders, and works every NDR in 6 steps, including a WhatsApp check and a call in the buyer’s language, with 3 attempts before any RTO.
Answer & related readingWhat should I do if a courier loses or damages my parcel?
Raise a claim quickly, with proof of how the parcel was packed and handed over. When Prozo runs both your warehouse and shipping, Prozo carries the claim on one record, whichever leg caused it. ProVMS records forward packing and return receipts on video for approved brands and channels.
Answer & related readingDoes Prozo deliver to marketplace warehouses like Amazon and Flipkart?
Yes. Prozo delivers to Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra fulfilment centres through appointment-based delivery, using partners with pre-approved entry. Each shipment is tracked against its appointment slot and follows the platform’s labelling and document rules.
Answer & related readingDoes Prozo offer both PTL and FTL?
Yes. Prozo offers 4 freight modes on one contract: full truck load, part truck load, appointment delivery and hyperlocal, alongside D2C parcel shipping. PTL reaches 23,600+ pincodes, and FTL is contracted from the same partner base.
Answer & related readingHow do I deliver to modern trade stores like D-Mart and Reliance Retail?
Modern trade chains have strict case-pack, labelling and delivery-slot rules. Prozo follows each retailer’s norms and delivers by appointment to match their calendar. The same stock pool also serves general trade, CSD and CPC canteens, distributors, marketplaces and D2C orders.
Answer & related readingWhich quick-commerce platforms does Prozo work with?
Prozo supports brands selling on the major quick-commerce platforms in India, including Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon Tej, Flipkart Minutes and BigBasket. It holds the stock and delivers into platform warehouses and dark stores by appointment. Your brand keeps its commercial relationship with each platform.
Answer & related readingWhat shelf life do quick-commerce platforms usually ask for?
Each platform sets its own minimum remaining shelf life, and the rule can change by category. The exact rule is in your purchase order or vendor agreement. Check batch and expiry dates before every dispatch, as stock below the limit is usually rejected at the dock.
Answer & related readingDoes Prozo run dark stores?
No. Prozo does not run dark stores itself. It is building a network of 4PL partner dark stores, run by other 3PL companies on Prozo procedures and technology. Today it serves quick commerce from its own warehouses, with same-day and next-day delivery on 8,800+ pincodes.
Answer & related readingWhat is ProPilot?
ProPilot is Prozo’s AI assistant for supply chain data. You ask a question in plain English and it answers from live data in your OMS, WMS, transport and Control Tower, such as daily performance summaries, SLA breach trends and warehouse productivity.
Answer & related readingDo I get a live dashboard for my orders and stock?
Yes. Every Prozo client gets its own login to the live Control Tower, showing every site, exception, handover and escalation. It tracks every D2C parcel from booking to delivery, lists open shipments by lane and age, and shows SKU-level inventory accuracy every day.
Answer & related readingWhich marketplaces, OMS and ERPs does Prozo integrate with?
ProOMS takes orders from 50+ marketplaces, webstores and quick-commerce platforms. Prozo also integrates both ways with the systems a client already runs, such as SAP, Oracle, Unicommerce, Vinculum, Increff, EasyEcom and ClickPost, so the client keeps its system and adds Prozo over it.
Answer & related readingIs my business data safe with Prozo?
Yes. Prozo is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and audited for SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, with annual independent penetration testing. Customer personal data is masked by default across Prozo systems, and every access and export is logged. Prozo is a registered data fiduciary under the DPDP Act.
Answer & related readingCan Prozo sync stock between my website and marketplaces?
Yes. ProOMS by Prozo keeps one stock pool for your website and all connected marketplaces. When an order comes in on any channel, stock updates everywhere, which stops overselling without manual CSV uploads.
Answer & related readingCan I start with one channel and add more later?
Yes. Start with one channel, such as your webstore or one marketplace, and add more as you grow. A new channel joins the same stock pool through ProOMS, which connects to 50+ marketplaces and platforms, so it needs a new integration, not a new warehouse.
Answer & related readingWhat is 4PL warehousing, and how does Prozo’s partner network work?
In 4PL warehousing, the operator runs your stock in a partner’s site instead of its own. Prozo grades regional 3PL sites on layout, docks, clear height, fire safety and floor load, then runs them on its own procedures and ProWMS. Prozo has 80+ 3PL partners and signs the contract and carries the liability.
Answer & related readingWhat is the difference between pay-per-use and cost-plus warehousing?
Pay-per-use bills per unit, pallet or shipment, so a slow month costs less and the 3PL carries the space and manpower risk. Cost-plus passes the cost through plus a fee, with every line visible, so the brand keeps the benefit of scale. Prozo offers both.
Answer & related readingWhat standard do Prozo’s warehouses follow?
Prozo builds every warehouse, its own or a partner’s, to one Grade A standard: 11 metre clear height, 6 levels of certified racking and a 5 tonne floor point load. Sites have sprinklers, hydrants and a valid fire clearance, 200 lux lighting, full ventilation and wireless coverage.
Answer & related readingHow accurate is inventory at Prozo’s warehouses?
Prozo runs 99.5% inventory accuracy at SKU level, measured in ProWMS. Daily cycle counts cover every location on a fixed cycle, every pallet and carton carries a scannable ID, and every variance is investigated and closed within 24 hours. Clients see accuracy on the Control Tower daily.
Answer & related readingWhich storage systems does Prozo offer?
Prozo offers 5 storage systems, chosen by stock type: selective pallet racking, long-span shelving, multi-tier mezzanine, carton and bin shelving, and cantilever or floor stack for long or bulky goods.
Answer & related readingHow many orders can Prozo’s warehouses handle?
Prozo runs sites at enterprise scale. One managed grocery distribution centre handles 5,00,000+ units a day, and a large multi-client warehouse typically peaks at 2,00,000+ units a day. Manpower and courier capacity are planned against the client’s forecast before each peak.
Answer & related readingWhich service levels can I contract with Prozo?
Prozo contracts 6 metrics: same-day dispatch, SKU-level inventory accuracy, pick accuracy, first-attempt delivery, NDRs closed in 24 hours and COD ageing. Each is measured in a named Prozo system and reconciled with your ERP, OMS or WMS. Levels are agreed per account.
Answer & related readingWhat is AI-PACE?
AI-PACE is the courier allocation engine inside ProShip by Prozo. It reads 85+ signals per order, predicts 4 outcomes for every eligible courier partner and ranks them in under a second, showing why. It avoids risky couriers for cash-on-delivery and high-value orders.
Answer & related readingWhat is iEDD, and how is it different from a courier’s delivery date?
iEDD is Prozo’s intelligent estimated delivery date, built in house with machine learning. A courier’s date is set once at booking and ignores the warehouse cut-off. iEDD adds Prozo’s processing time to live lane performance, adjusts for holidays, weather and elections, and is recomputed as the order moves.
Answer & related readingWhat is ProVMS?
ProVMS is Prozo’s video management system for packing and returns. For approved brands and channels, every forward pack and every return receipt is recorded end to end on camera, from showing the units to taping the box, and Prozo uses the video to defend claims.
Answer & related readingWhich certifications does Prozo hold?
Prozo holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and is audited for SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II. It is GDPR aligned and a registered data fiduciary under India’s DPDP Act. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification of its sites is under way.
Answer & related readingWhy use one partner for both warehousing and shipping?
With one partner on both legs, the dispatch cut-off and the courier pickup move together, so same-day and later cut-offs become possible. Claims sit with one owner on one record, and handovers between the warehouse and the courier are reconciled daily. Prozo runs both legs on one contract.
Answer & related readingHow does Prozo handle peak sale days?
Prozo works peaks in 5 steps: volume agreed channel by channel ahead of the event, a trained flex pool rostered, carrier and vehicle capacity pre-booked, extra pick waves added, and every exception worked in the Control Tower with a named owner. It runs up to 3 courier cut-offs a day.
Answer & related readingWhat happens if a Prozo warehouse becomes unusable?
Prozo groups its warehouses into regional clusters so one site covers another. If a site becomes unusable, stock moves to another live site in the cluster. If staff cannot report, a trained reserve comes from nearby sites. If systems go down, data exposure is capped at 15 minutes, with a paper fallback.
